Slightly more than 20 ships have been allowed to leave Ukraine’s ports after agreements with Russia allowed the naval blockade to be lifted last July. The United Nations confirmed this, adding how one of them is currently sailing to Djibouti with a cargo of corn, sunflower oil and wheat (https://www.dw.com/en/a-bulk-wheat-shipment-is-en-route-to-africa/a-62869235).
The Djibouti-bound vessel, a bulk carrier named Brave Commander, is carrying 23,000 tons of wheat and an unspecified number of tons of sunflower oil and corn, intended to alleviate the suffering of regions affected by the recent conflict in Ethiopia.
No further details were given about the possibility of future shipments, while the quantities sent are believed to be necessary to meet only one month of the needs of about 1.5 million people.
