Djibouti’s Minister of Energy, Yonis Guedi, announced on September 1 his government’s intention to enter into closer cooperation with Egypt to enhance projects to develop the local hydrocarbon industry (https://www.naturalgasworld.com/djibouti-and-egypt-hold-gas-cooperation-talks-100599).
The announcement came after Minister Guedi’s visit to Cairo on August 29, where he met with Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Sources, Mohamed Shaker, with whom he discussed the possibility of agreements with Egypt to develop joint projects (https://www.egypttoday.com/Article/1/118718/Egypt-Djibouti-hold-talks-on-potential-partnerships-in-electricity-sector).
